Museum of Cultural History

Here you will find numerous exhibits and works of art from the history of Magdeburg. Due to the special location of the city, directly on the river Elbe, it has always played an important role in German and European history in the past.

Museum of Natural History

Guericke-Centrum

The Guericke Centre has a lot to see and discover, especially if you are a physics fan.

Otto von Guericke was a well-known politician and physicist, who was especially known in Magdeburg for his experiments with air pressure and vacuum with the Magdeburg hemispheres.

In the Guericke Zentrum you can follow his life in the museum of the same name and enjoy the permanent exhibition "Magdeburg, the city by the river - life on and with the Elbe".
